I would say that I have always had good teeth. Well, they were quite straight and I didn’t have much to complain about as they were not very crooked, and there was no overcrowding of my teeth. However, there were a few imperfections that did bother me.
The general idea is that every person with a beautiful smile has perfect, straight white teeth, and this misconstrued notion is widely propagated in the media and advertisements.
It was my grandmother who made me realise, at a very young age, the importance of having a good set of teeth. I can recall the first time she gave me such advice.
Besides giving us the ability to chew our food and to speak clearly, the appearance of our teeth goes a long way in complementing our overall appearance, even enhancing it. The proud owner of a nice set of teeth would have no qualms in flashing his or her smile – giving them an air of confidence and creating a positive impression.
In this aesthetic age, most are fussed about whether their nose is too large, their jaw too square, or their chest too flat. Yet, whether many realise it or not, there is one feature that is neglected more often than not – our teeth.
