Almond-shaped eyes

I have round eyes but would like them to appear more almond-shaped and longer. How can I achieve this illusion with makeup?
C.E.

Dear C.E.,
To make your eyes look longer, use an eyeliner, and draw this across your upper eye, where the eye meets the lashes. However, make this line sharper at the end of the eyes. When applying eye shadow, do not apply eye shadow over your whole eye only, but instead, the eye shadow should extend slightly past the edge of the eyes. This will help make your eyes look longer and almond-shaped. But do be careful when you do this – if you apply too much eye shadow, your makeup can look ‘messy’.
