Teeth whitening unsuccessful

My teeth are very yellow, and despite numerous teeth whitening sessions, there doesn’t seem to be much improvement. Is there a way to obtain a set of pearly whites that are long lasting? I know veneers are an option but I’m not too keen on that as it involves shaving down my natural tooth structure. What are my other options?

Dear S.F.,
I would assume that the discolouration of your teeth must be quite serious, and your only option to correct this would be porcelain or composite laminate veneers. If you don’t want any preparations (such as shaving down of your natural teeth) to be done, the end result will not be good because the veneers will appear very thick and bulky – looking quite unnatural.

BeforeBeforeAfterAfterWhat you decide will depend on your expectations of the outcome, as there are pros and cons to any treatment you choose. I suggest you discuss your options with your dentist.
