Higher Dosage of Botox for Men

Thanks to more muscle mass

Men require higher dosage of botox in all treatment areas compared to women because men have a greater muscle mass, although treatment is the same.

There has recently been a growing interest in cosmetic procedures by men. Although most practices see a majority of women, the number of men is slowly catching up.

Clinical observations noticed that larger, stronger men need more units per treatment compared to slender, small-boned men. The most common cause of inadequate results in male patients is under-dosing, which may lead to men requiring additional botox injections.
