Eye bags back after surgery

About 15 years ago I had eye bag surgery to remove the fat below my eyes. The doctor said then that the problem might redevelop – and it did. My eye bags are back and this makes my eyes look rather heavy. I constantly look tired and sleepy – I also have dark circles under my eyes. I am trying to avoid surgery if possible. Is there an alternative solution? I have tried all sorts of eye lotions, serums, and creams but nothing seems to work.

Dear A.J.,
As the saying goes, "...and the aging continues her relentless march". An eye bag is basically an anatomical problem due mainly to herniation (abnormal protrusion of tissue through a weak wall) of fat below the eyes. As such, the best solution to this problem is still eye bag surgery (blepharoplasty).

Dark eye circles (or panda eyes) and the tired look are part of the problem associated with significant eye bags. This effect makes you look older.

Without eye bags, you will look fresh and rejuvenated and you will look younger than the biological years stated in your MyKad.
