British Women Spend $54,000 on hair

Desire a salon-like finish

A hair care company’s British poll suggests the average woman spends US$54,047.16 (about RM172,777) on trims and other hair maintenance costs in her adult lifetime, while the average British man spends only US$24,787.40 (about RM79,229) on hair care.

In a poll conducted by TREsemme, an average female respondent in London spends US$106,928.80 (about RM341,665) on hair care during her adult life – including costs of shampoos and conditioners – while those in Welsh capital, Cardiff, spend US$94,833.70 (about RM303,018). The poll found that women in Bradford spend the lowest, US$41,013.03 (about RM131,068).

According to a TREsemme spokesman, “It’s incredible how much money women spend on their hair, but also unsurprising as we know that many woman aspire to achieve a salon-like finish.”
