Bridge to replace denture

I am missing several teeth and have a removable partial denture to substitute these. My dentist’s advice is to get a bridge done, but I know that this involves grinding down my original teeth on both ends of the bridge. Is there another option for this problem?

Dear W.M.C.,
Many patients dislike having to put in and remove a partial denture, and usually have a difficult time chewing and enjoying their food. Dental implants with restorations, as well as fixed bridges, are permanent solutions that can offer more stability, depending on a patient’s specific situation.

BeforeBeforeAfterAfterImplants are titanium screws that rest securely in the bone. A crown or bridge can be placed on the implant as a natural looking, non-removable solution. With implants, because of requirements of bone height and medical health, it is important to consult a restorative dentist early to plan the optimal time to receive implants.
