What is the best treatment for acne scars and is it safe?

Dear J.A.,
The best treatment for acne scars are laser treatments; my favourites are the carbon assisted Q-Switched Nd:YAG resurfacing laser and the fractional CO2 resurfacing laser. Both treatments give a short downtime of a few days, after which you can expect an immediate improvement of your scars by about 20 to 50 percent.

Depending on the severity of your scars, it is recommended that you undergo at least four treatment sessions, two to four weeks apart. You may have as many sessions as you like.
